Description

John Wilson Richardson was born in Stockton-on-Tees in 1881, the son of Charles Richardson and served with the 5th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry, awarded the Territorial Force Efficiency Medal on 1 Apr 1910.

He died at home on 12 Sep 1915, aged 34 years, and is buried at Stockton-on-Tees Oxbridge Lane Cemetery, not entitled to any further WWI medals.

Charles Richardson was the younger brother of John Wilson Richardson and served with the 5th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry as a Sergeant and was awarded the Territorial Force Efficiency Medal on 1 July 1911 before joing the Army Ordnance Corps on during WWI, entering France as an Armourer Staff Sergeant on 19 Dec 1915, demobilised on 9 Aug 1919, further entitled to the WWI War Medal.
