Description

William Frederick Charles Nason was born in Corse, Gloucestershire in 1886, the son of Dr. Charles St. Stephen Richard Nason and Frederica Nason, living in Preston, Corse, Gloucestershire and moving to 23 Grosvenor Crescent, St. Leonards-on-Sea.

Joining the Royal Flying Corps, Nason was appointed 2nd Lieutenant on 14 Aug 1916 and was invalided to England on 9 June 1918.

William's younger brother, John William Washington Nason was a Sussex county cricketer, also in the Royal Flying Corps, who was killed in aerial combat on 26 Dec 1916.
