Description

George Wood was born in Snargate, Kent 1867 and enlisted with the East Lancashire Regiment on 24 July 1885, embarking for India on 12 Jan 1886, serving in Burma from 29 Feb 1886 and present at the Relief of Chitral in 1895, returning to England on 17 Dec 1897.
