Description

Gilbert Winter Bickle was born in Tottenham, Middlesex on 11 June 1897, the son of Ernest Wills Bickle and Annie Winter Bickle, of 52, Arlington Rd., West Ealing, London.

Serving as an Air Mechanic First Class at the Royal Naval Air Station, Dundee, Bickle was killed as a result of seaplane No.1661 catching fire.

He is remembered on the Chatham Memorial.
