Description

Robert William Vesey Bruce was born in 1882 the son of Samuel Bruce and was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant of the 17th Lancers on 11 Aug 1900, serving in the Boer War and Mentioned in Despatches on 20 Aug 1901. During WWI, Bruce served as a Major with the 17th Lancers, entitled to the 1914 trio of medals.
