Description

Mervyn Gavin was the son of Thomas and Caroline Mary Gavin of 7 Larden Road, Acton Vale, London and enlisted at Stamford Brook, Middlesex on 1 Sep 1914, first serving with the 10th Battalion Middlesex Regiment, entering France on 8 Mar 1915. Serving with the 1/8th (T.F.) Battalion, Middlesex Regiment, he was Killed In Action on 27 Apr 1915, aged 30. He is remembered at the Hazebrouck Communal Cemetery.
