Moses Jervis was born in Wrockwardine Wood, Oakengates, Shropshire in 1892 and worked as a Labourer before attesting with the Shropshire Light Infantry on 4 Sep 1914, entering France on 3 July 1915 and suffering a Gun Shot Wound to the neck on 5 June 1916.
Jervis joined the Royal Flying Corps on 17 Mar 1918 and served with the R.A.F. on their formation.
