Lieut. Glynn-Jones is listed as serving with "A" Company, 2nd Royal Welsh Fusiliers in Malaya from 1954-55.

The following extract is from the 'Records of the Royal Welch Fusiliers Vol VI':

Under Major I.W. Lloyd-Jones, "A" Company moved temporarily to Seremban where it worked under the command of 2nd/6th Gurkhas, searching for a terrorist gang known as No 3. Independent Platoon, led by Ten Fuk Leng. "A" Company's kill came after the return to Gemas when No 3. Platoon led by 2nd Lieutenant C.D. Glynne-Jones, conducted twenty-four hour tracking operation before making contact and killing their man."

Glynn-Jones is then listed as serving on the Staff List of the 4th Royal Welsh Fusiliers (T.A.) as part of "A" Company, Hawarden, Llay from 1958-59.
