ZULU WAR SOUTH AFRICA MEDAL WITH 1879 CLASP TO LCE. CORPL. G. TOMALIN, 91ST FOOT

George Edward Tomalin was born in Northgate, Canterbury, Kent in 1859 and attested for the 91st Regiment on 28 Dec 1877, aged 18 years and 8 months.

Tomalin is confirmed on the South Africa Medal roll as being 'engaged against the Zulus 1879' and discharged at Netley on 22 Dec 1879 after 94 days in hospital suffering from Chronic Hepatitis.
