Alfred Holyoak was born in St. Margarets, Leicestershire in 1880 and enlisted with the 7th Hussars at Leicester on 2 Nov 1899, serving in South Africa from 30 Nov 1901 to 9 Mar 1903. He is entitled to 2 further clasps of South Africa 1901 & 1902.
