Description

John Madden was a shoemaker from Belfast, Northern Ireland before enlisting with the 32nd Light Infantry n 25 Jan 1842, aged 18 years.

Madden served in the Punjab, further entitled to the medal with Mooltan and Goojerat clasps.

During the Indian Mutiny, John Madden was an original defender during the Siege of Lucknow and died on 26 Nov 1858, the day before the final day of the siege.
