Description

Henry Gilson was born in Great Dunmow, Birchanger in 1873, the son of Samuel and Emily Gilson and attested with the Royal Artillery on 27 Dec 1894, aged 21 years and 6 months.

Gilson served with the Tirah Expeditionary Force's No.8 Mountain Battery, Royal Artillery from 20 Oct 1896, entitled to the medal with both clasps and remained in India to 1 May 1897.

Gilson was discharged for misconduct on 26 Sep 1908.
