WWI WAR MEDAL TO A.W.O. CL.2 G. WALKER, MANCH. R. (K.I.A. 1918)

George Walker was born in St Mary's Hollingworth, Hyde, the son of Ralph Eteson and Elizabeth Walker of 144 Moorside Street, Droylsden, Manchester, landing in Gallipoli with the 1/9th Battalion, Manchester Regiment.

Walker was Killed In Action on 21 Mar 1918, aged 24 years and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial.
