Dudley John Hyde was born in Shepherds Bush, London and was wounded in action by a Gun Shot Wound to the shoulder and right arm on 15 Feb 1915 and then captured on the 1st Day of The Somme, 1 July 1916 and taken Prisoner of War. He was finally discharged on 3 Apr 1919 due to wounds.
