Description

Richard Scragg was born in St. Thomas, Oxford and worked as a labourer, before enlisting with the 95th Foot on 18 Dec 1813. Serving with the 2nd Battalion, 95th Foot, Scragg was part of Captain C. Eaton's Company at Waterloo. He is recorded as undergoing 'Amputation Right Arm on the 18th June 1815 at the Battle of Waterloo.' Scragg was discharged after just 2 years of service on 23 Oct 1815, aged 19.
