Military Medal Gazetted 17 Oct 1918.

Robert Raymond Murray was born in Haltwhistle, Northumberland in 1895 and lived at River View, Haltwhistle, serving with the 276 Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, entering France on 20 June 1917 until placed on furlough on 3 Mar 1918, returning to France on 7 Mar 1918.

According to Murray's own hand,he was 'awarded the Military Medal on April 9th 1918'.
