Description

Arthur Hallam was born in St. Saviour's, Nottinghamshire in 1879, the son of George Hallam of King's Meadoow Road, Nittingham. Enlisting with the King's Royal Rifle Corps on 2 Dec 1898, Hallam was posted to South Africa on 20 Sep 1899 and convicted of committing theft on 6 Feb 1900 and sentenced to 21 days confinement, returning to duty on 24 Feb 1900 before being posted to India.
