Reserve of Officers, 55th West Lancashire Divisional Engineers, Royal Engineers." Territorial Decoration Gazetted 1 Mar 1929: "Lt. Col. William Moncrieff Carr, 55th (W. Lan.) Divl. Engrs, Royal Engineers."

Territorial Efficiency Decoration and 1st Clasp Gazetted 19 Oct 1951.

Carr was killed whilst riding with the North Cheshire Hounds as Master.
