Description

Herbert Payne was the son of Robert and Emily Payne, of Wentworth Place, Allendale, Northumberland and born in Laycock, Notts. Serving with the 13th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry, Payne Died of Wounds in hospital in Rouen on 17 Oct 1916 and is buried at St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen.
