Description

Charles Ellet was born in West Hoathly, Sussex in 1881, the son of Timothy and Jane Ellet of 45 Islingword Place, Brighton, enlisting with the Royal Sussex Regiment at Brighton. Serving with the 18th (3rd City) Battalion, Manchester Regiment, Ellet was Killed In Action on 30 July 1917, aged 36. He is commemorated at the Mennin Gate Memorial.
