Walter Thompson was born in Hackney, Middlesex, the son of Walter & Eliza Thompson and entered France on 3 May 1915 with the 1st Battalion, Royal Dublin Fusiliers (entitled to a 1914-15 Star) and was Killed In Action on 3 June 1918 and is buried at Cinq Rues Cemetery, Hazebrouck.
