M.I.D. Gazetted 21 Dec 1917.

Amos Gledhill was born in Manchester, the son of Henry and Helen Gledhill and worked as a warehouseman before enlisting with the Royal Field Artillery on 21 Sep 1908 and re-enlisting with the Welsh Regiment at Blackburn on 31 May 1915 and entered France on 4 Dec 1915 and served with the 16th (Cardiff City) Battalion, Welsh Regiment and was wounded by a gunshot to the scalp on 27 Aug 1918, admitted to No.11 General Hospital and latterly attached to the 115 Brigade Headquarters, before dying in Dec 1924.
