Thomas Evans Rogers' address is recorded as 31 Rossett Road, Blundellsands & Crosby. Trained at HMS Defiance Torpedo School from 20 Nov 1914 to 11 Dec 1914, Rogers was posted to HMS Halcyon Torpedo Gunboat and 'for special service for command of a Trawler as ordered by Capt. Ellison, before as Lieutenant with H.M. Drifter "Frons Olivae". Rogers was aboard when she was hit by a mine laid by UC-5 and sank on 12 Oct 1916, with 11 casualties. Rogers is commemorated at Chatham Naval Memorial.
