Description

David Gill was born in Bramley, Yorkshire in 1887 and enlisted with the 1st West Riding Brigade, Royal Field Artillery on 14 May 1908 and entered France on 14 Apr 1915, transferring to England on 17 May 1916, time expired.

His son, Gunner Alfred Gill attested with the 25th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery in 1935 and died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis on 2 Jan 1941, aged 26. He is buried at Durban (Stellawood) Cemetery.

Donald Gill attested with the Royal Regiment of Artillery in 1937 with the regimental number of 876317.
