David Ray Morris was born in Tyldesley, Lancashire, serving as Midshipman from 7 Mar 1918 and was appointed Second Mate of a Steamship in the Merchant Service on 17 June 1921, First Mate on 25 Mar 1925 , dying in 1944 as 2nd Mate aboard the S.S. City of Agra.
