Sold by the son of George William Leonard Atkins.

Territorial Efficiency Medal Gazetted 18 Nov 1958.

Atkins was made 2nd Lieutenant of the 4th/5th Battalion, Cheshire Regiment on 17 June 1939 and retired as Major of the Cheshire Regiment, having exceeded the age limit of the T.A. Reserve of Officers on 29 July 1959.
