Description

John Sullivan was born in St. Thomas, Manchester in 1877 and lived at Russell Street, Pendleton, Salford, working as a builder & contractor at Liverpool Street, Seedley, Salford. Attesting with the 4th Battalion, Manchester Regiment on 29 Dec 1899, aged 22, Sullivan transferred to the 6th Battalion, Manchester Regiment and was posted to South Africa from 13 Feb 1902 to 29 Sep 1902. He is entitled to the additional clasps of Cape Colony and South Africa 1902.
