Description

Alfred Limmer was born in Burnham, Slough, Buckinghamshire in 1872 and attested with the Royal Berkshire Regiment on 9 Mar 1890, serving in South Africa with the 1st Battalion from 6 June 1900 to 30 Oct 1902, also entitled to the King's South Africa Medal, before being posted to Egypt and presented with his Mounted Infantry Certificate in Cairo on30 Apr 1905 before discharge on 8 Mar 1911.
