Description

Ronald McKenzie was born in Sleat, the Isle of Skye, with a trade recorded as 'Gentleman's Piper', attesting with the 1st Battalion, Black Watch at Edinburgh on 19 Aug 1881 and posted to Egypt on 8 Aug 1882, serving as a Piper and promoted to the rank of Pipe Major. McKenzie was discharged on 13 Oct 1893.
