"Silver Medal, Certificate of Thanks and £5 to Francis Little, also Bronze Medal to Sidney Neal, for a gallant attempt attempt to stop a runaway horse attached to a float in Park Lane on 29 Oct 1917. Unfortunately, Little was struck by the shaft and knocked down, the wheel of the float passing over his body, causing serious injury. Neal was also thrown down but escaped with a few bruises. Little was conveyed to hospital and detained."
