Yorkshire'; Royal Observer Corps Medal EIIR with second award clasp to Observer L. Wilcock in box of issue, Imperial Service Medal EIIR to Leslie Jones Wilcock in case of issue. Accompanied by an archive of original material including R.A.F. Service & Release Book, R.A.A.F. & R.A.F.V.R. Certificate of Discharge, Form of Recommendation, Observer Corps Certificate and enamel badges, Transfer Letter, Identity Card, framed Imperial Service Medal bestowal certificate original photographs and Wilcock's 617 Squadron named plaque.
Description

Leslie Jones Wilcock served during WWII as a Labourer and then with 617 Squadron at RAF Scampton as an Airframe Mechanic. From 1946 he worked for the Ministry of Defence Air in a civilian capacity at RAF Driffield, Staxton Wold and Bempton and then with 1104 Marine Craft Unit, serving as an Observer at the Wilsthorpe post until it was made redundant in 1968, when he moved to the reformed Bridlington post.
