Description

Joseph Brady served with the 2nd South Lancashire Regiment in India, selected as Regimental N.C.O. for the Commissariat Transport Department. Brady then joined the East Indian Railway Volunteer Rifles as 1st Colour Sergeant and then Acting Sergeant Major on the Indian Unattached List, awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and promoted to Lieutenant & Quartermaster on the General & Special List of Officers from 6 Apr 1915, during WWI Brady was attached to the Welsh Regiment and promoted to Captain & Quartermaster.
