Davies by the staff of the Musketry Camp, Prestatyn, April 1918', Officer's Record of Services Booklet, one original portrait photograph of Capt. Davies and a group shot with him identifiable, original Commission Certificate to Geoffrey H. Davies, 2nd Lieut., 2nd. Battalion Monmouthshire Regiment, 3rd March 1915 and two letters dated 19 Feb 1920 and 3 July 1945.
Description

Geoffrey Hier Davies was born on 16 Mar 1885 working as a Colliery Agent and living at "Rosemont", Clytha Park, Newport, Monmouthshire. He was commissioned into the 2/2nd Bn. Monmouthshire Regiment on 3 Feb 1915 and entered France on 24 Apr 1915. Promoted to Temp. Capt. on 13 Mar 1916, Davies was appointed Adjutant of the Welsh Brigade Musketry Headquarters, Prestatyn and commissioned again during WWII on the Infantry General List.
